Cosmic Roller Coaster

In the past few weeks my class has been reading a book called Cosmic. The book has a lot of references to roller coasters, so my teacher thought it would be cool if we made our own.

Now of course were not going to make a full size roller coaster, but we could draw, build, or build in Minecraft. This is mine:

Are you looking for an adrenaline rush? Do you want to have some cheap fun? If you do, then come to Six Flags! We have an all new wood ride named Mammoth Mountain! It features an 80 degree angle, a speed of 81 miles per hour, and is 250 feet tall! This run takes you back to the ice age with the snow capped mountains behind it. This breathtaking view only adds to the excitement of this ride. Our building crew was instructed to make it sway in the wind at the top. As you sit at the top of Mammoth Mountain I guarantee you that you cannot think of any place you would rather be. So if your looking for all of this then come on down to Six Flags, and enjoy not just Mammoth Mountain, but countless other rides!

Window or Mirror?

Window or Mirror?

The book that I read this summer was Masterminds by Gordan Korman. That book is a window and a mirror because it is a whole different perspective of life but the characters in the book do the same things that I do, they go to school, they live in a town, and they have a lot of friends. A window is a book that isn’t what your reality is, maybe it’s a book about fairies or kings and queens, that would be a window book. A mirror book has a plot or storyline similar to your life. The book is about some kids who live in an absolutely perfect town, there is no crime, there is no poverty, and there is no kid without a friend, but when one of the kids moves away, they figure out that there is something “screwy” about their town. It was a window book because I don’t live in a perfect town, and I also don’t have something screwy in my town. It was also a mirror because they have a daily life that is similar to my own. It was a great book and I recommend it to anyone who likes a suspenseful book.
